Moving into 21st Century Accreditation

After spending several days at an accreditation conference for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) I’ve determined that we are finally moving towards assessment that balances standards-based education with a broader look at student impact with a model for improving practice as part of a cycle. While a slightly vague and time-consuming method, the move toward holistic evaluation comes at a time when standardization has all but overtaken education.
