Higher Education Prepares for the Common Core

In the near future, colleges and universities will be receiving graduates of K-12 public education who have been immersed in the common core standards. The general hope is that students will be better prepared for college curricula, but now is a time of uncertainty as educators work across states and grade levels to implement the common core. Dr. Tammy Lynn Woody, Director of Continuous Education Program Improvement in the School of Education at American Public University, looks at some of the issues and opportunities presented by this time of change.
