What Accreditation Means to Educators

There are several types of accreditation in higher education, and it is important to understand the differences among them. Beyond regional, specialty, and national accreditation, teachers should be cognizant of the state accreditation within the state they live and the standards with which each accrediting body holds a school to. For those just entering the world of teaching understanding the realm of licensure state to state, the options of applying, and researching reviews by the states’ Department of Education is vital to the start of your career in teaching. Dr. Conrad Lotze possesses many years of educational leadership and teaching experience from a variety of academic positions. Conrad holds a BS in Mathematics from the College of William and Mary, an MA in Mathematics Education from West Virginia University, and a PhD in Mathematics Education from American University.
